UNE PORSCHE PEINTE PAR MOYA
Plasticien, performer et artiste
numérique, Patrick Moya cherche, depuis ses débuts dans les années 80,
à être partout, passant des pinceaux à l'ordinateur, du néo-lettrisme à
la figure libre, d'oeuvres réalisées uniquement avec les lettres de son
nom, jusqu'au bestiaire presque humain qui accompagne son autoportrait
en Pinocchio, des soirées techno aux murs d'une chapelle, de l'art
contemporain à l'art numérique, de la vie réelle aux mondes virtuels …
Un rêve d'ubiquité qu'il poursuit aujourd'hui en devenant le
marionnettiste de lui-même, revisitant et mixant son travail, et le
mettant en scène sur ses îles virtuelles en 3D, dans lesquelles il a
réalisé son rêve de créature vivant au coeur de l'oeuvre d'art.
Pour ce nouveau challenge - peindre une
Porsche qui doit courir dans la course de cote de la Pikes Peak dans le
Colorado (USA) en juin 2014 - Moya a choisi de revenir à ses premières
amours, lorsqu'il réalisait des oeuvres uniquement avec les lettres de
son nom.
Encore une nouvelle façon de remixer
son travail, de réaliser son rêve d'ubiquité (être aux Etats-Unis par
le biais d'une signature), de "peindre sur tout ce qui bouge" (cette
fois au sens propre !), sans bouger de son atelier niçois, lui qui n'a
pas son permis de conduire !
A PORSCHE PAINTED BY MOYA
Artist, performer and digital artist,
Patrick Moya tries, from the beginning of the 80s, to be everywhere,
going his way from brushes to computer, from conceptual neo-lettrism to
figuration, from works only made with the 4 letters of his name (MOYA)
until a more recent (and almost human) bestiary, attendant his
self-portrait in Pinocchio. From techno parties to the walls of a
catholic chapel, from contemporary to digital art, from real-life to
virtual worlds ... A dream of ubiquity that he continues today by
becoming the puppeteer of himself, revisiting and remixing his works,
and directing these works on his virtual 3D islands (in Second Life),
where he realize his dream : to be a creature living in the heart of
his art work.
For this new challenge - painting a
Porsche who should run in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in
Colorado (USA) in june 2014 - Moya chose to return to his first love,
when he realized works only with the letters of his name.
Yet another way to remix his work, to
realize his dream of ubiquity (being in the United States only through
a signature) , "painting on anything that moves " (this time in the
literal sense ! ) without moving from his studio in Nice … A great deal
for him, who has never had any driver license !
